How do you decorate a tree?

Anthropology has the most darling Christmas tree ornaments. Sadly, this will be our 2nd year without a tree! A big green tree is all I want and hopefully will have next year. Jason's family is HUGE on "special" ornaments {like my mother in law made one every year} as they grew up. Every kid has a little box of their own, Cute huh? My sweet hubbs has bought me a new ornament every year, so I can kinda play catch up to his lil box. Yeah..he's that kinda man.
My favorite ornaments via Anthropology.
We have the large Rhino head hanging in our family room.
**Hint** I really need the baby version.
How do you like to decorate your tree?
Does it have to look perfect?
I struggle with the thought of all the ornaments being different {OCD much}?
Maybe I need 2 trees? One themed and one sloppy...
After I discovered Santa was a no show my parents stop putting up a tree! Lame. Lame. {love you mom & dad}

  3. I LOVE your new blog header...you guys are so cute! We haven't gotten our tree yet this year, but I think we're going to do something really old-fashioned, like popcorn and cranberry garlands! And, we have a box of crocheted snowflake ornaments that my great-great-aunt made, which is very special, so we always hang those :)

  4. So sad that you won't have a tree this year but I love how you have a tradition of giving each other ornaments every year. I may have to adopt that idea! I really love the Anthro ornaments too. I definitely like my tree to have cohesive look and theme...I guess that would make me a little OCD too :).

    p.s. love love love your new blog header!
